Job summary

TriHealth is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse for Inpatient Orthopedics in a flexible PRN role across Good Samaritan and Bethesda North Hospitals in Cincinnati, OH. The APRN will support weekend, holiday, and PTO coverage while maintaining an active clinical role in inpatient orthopedics.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus 2 years post-graduate evaluation.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NCCPA certification and passing NCCPA board exam with recertification every 6 years.
• Physician Assistant designation noted in job requirements.
• Interest in acute patient care in an inpatient setting.
• 3-4 years experience as a Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care at least 50% of the position, including history and physical examinations.
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic devices per formulary under Ohio law.
• Assess interactions of multiple therapies and order tests as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians to plan and implement a comprehensive care plan.
• Educate patients and families to promote best outcomes.
• Lead or participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
