Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an Outpatient Pharmacist for a PRN role to support the Akron ENT outpatient pharmacy. The pharmacist will fill and verify prescriptions, perform chart reviews, manage inventory and assist daily pharmacy operations within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• PharmD or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross; immunization administration training within 90 days for immunizers.

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacy services and ensure appropriate selection, dosing, administration and dispensing of medication orders.
• Deliver safe, patient-centered and evidence-based medication services.
• Verify medication orders and dispense medications accurately per regulations.
• Contribute to medication safety initiatives.
• Document services fully and timely.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Maintain professional interactions to support patient experience.
• Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers or patients.
• Be accountable for drug use policy adherence.
