Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and assign diagnosis based on recorded data.
• Establish plan of care and implement interventions according to protocols.
• Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and groups.

Skills

Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Patient assessment

Education

Master’s degree or higher in nursing or physician assistant studies

Current Illinois license as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant

Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or NCCPA
