Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy (CTRS) or related field required.
• Current CTRS, MT-BC, or ATR license as required by state regulations.
• CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Applies theory and standards for therapeutic practices.
• Assesses patient needs considering cultural, religious, and physical disabilities.
• Documents patient response to interventions in daily/weekly progress notes.
• Completes all assessments within the time frame and contributes to workload balance.
• Formulates initial and subsequent treatment programs per orders.
• Develops a plan of care with measurable goals and interventions.
• Delivers therapy procedures and communicates with patients to achieve outcomes.
• Maintains communication with the treatment team and physician/licensed practitioner.
