About Our Client

Our client is a leading private wealth and banking organization with a significant presence in Chicago, serving individuals, families, businesses, and institutions through an integrated suite of personal banking, commercial banking, and wealth management services. In Chicago, our client has deep local scale, including thousands of employees, a large financial center network, and a strong commitment to community impact.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Private Wealth Advisor / Director to serve high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with complex wealth needs. This advisor will act as the primary relationship lead, helping clients build, preserve, manage, and transfer wealth while coordinating the resources of a broader private wealth team.

The role is ideal for an experienced wealth advisor who enjoys being the “quarterback” of the client relationship, developing new business, leveraging centers of influence, and delivering a planning-led client experience.

Private Wealth Advisors work closely with Portfolio Managers, Trust Administrators, Private Bankers, Wealth Strategists, and Wealth Analysts to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients with sophisticated financial lives.

Key Responsibilities

The Private Wealth Advisor / Director will be responsible for:

  • Managing and deepening relationships with high-net-worth clients and families.
  • Developing new client relationships through internal partners, external referral sources, and centers of influence.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for clients while coordinating investment, trust, banking, lending, planning, and wealth strategy resources.
  • Leading a disciplined, financial planning-based process that begins with understanding client priorities, assessing the client’s current state, and aligning the right wealth management and private banking solutions.
  • Delivering a proactive, high-touch client experience focused on understanding client needs and exceeding client expectations.
  • Building a strong local presence in the Chicago marketplace.
  • Partnering across the firm to identify opportunities, solve complex client issues, and create long-term client value.
  • The role carries meaningful business development expectations, including first-year new asset goals and increasing annual targets in future years.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, financial advisory, or a related HNW client-facing role.
  • A strong record of developing new client relationships and growing assets.

  • Strong community ties and relationships with local centers of influence.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and business development skills.
  • A client-first mindset with strong integrity and sound judgment.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with internal partners in investments, banking, trust, planning, and credit.
  • A team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a healthy, performance-driven culture.

Value Proposition

This opportunity offers an experienced advisor the ability to join an established private wealth platform with a strong brand, attractive base compensation, internal partnership resources, and the ability to serve as the lead advisor for complex client relationships.
