Menchey School of Music in Lancaster is seeking an enthusiastic vocal instructor to join our private lesson program. Teach personalized private lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels in our studio, creating an engaging, encouraging environment.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of college‑level music training and 5 years of teaching or performance experience; a bachelor’s in music is preferred.

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and dependable vocal instructor to join our team at our Lancaster studio. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong student relationships, creating engaging lessons, and being part of a music‑centered community that truly values education.

Availability Needed

One weeknight from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM or one recurring 4‑hour block on Saturdays

What You’ll Do

• Teach engaging, personalized, and effective private lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels


• Create a positive, encouraging, and educational lesson environment


• Help students grow musically, prepare for recitals, and inspire participation in performance opportunities


• Communicate timely and professionally with students, parents, and staff


• Keep accurate attendance and lesson records using our digital scheduling system


• Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and enthusiasm every day

Requirements

• A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college‑level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination


• A bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are also encouraged to apply


• Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred


• Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment
