Job summary

Menchey Music Service's Reading location is seeking an enthusiastic vocal instructor to join our private lesson studio. You will teach engaging private voice lessons to students of varying ages, foster a positive learning environment, and help performers grow in confidence, technique, and artistry within a supportive, music‑focused community.

Availability includes one weeknight from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM or a recurring 4‑hour block on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or related field preferred; candidates pursuing degree encouraged.
• Experience working with learners of all ages and abilities is preferred.
• Ability to successfully complete initial and recurring background checks every three years.

Responsibilities

• Teach private voice lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.

We're currently looking for an enthusiastic and dependable vocal instructor to join our team at our Reading studio. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong student relationships, creating engaging lessons, and being part of a music-centered community that truly values education.

Requirements

• A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination
• A bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are also encouraged to apply
• Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred
• Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment
