Job summary

Allegra School of Music & Arts in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking a Private Voice Instructor to join our faculty. An established student roster is available immediately, with the option to take over part or all of an existing teaching schedule.

This is a professional studio environment with strong administrative support and a commitment to student-centered instruction. Part-time schedule runs Monday–Friday 3:00–9:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Degree in voice-focused field.
• Experience teaching private voice lessons.
• Ability to work with children, teens, and/or adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, dependable, student-centered approach.
• Advanced degree work or vocal pedagogy training valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality private voice instruction.
• Teach healthy vocal technique.
• Select repertoire based on student level and goals.
• Develop breath control, resonance, registration, diction, musicianship.
• Monitor progress and provide clear feedback.
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and exams.
• Communicate professionally with students, families, and leadership.
• Maintain a reliable teaching schedule.
