Job summary

Allegra School of Music & Arts in New Jersey seeks an enthusiastic Private Voice Instructor to take over part or all of a flexible teaching schedule in a friendly, fast-growing music school with a reputation for instructional excellence.

You will design engaging lessons, track student progress, and collaborate with fellow teachers and the director. The role pays $25.00–$35.00 per hour, with a 401(k) plan. Applicants within 25 miles of Belle Mead, NJ 08502 preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be well-organized and committed to teaching.
• Creative, energetic, and inspiring classroom presence.
• Degree in music performance or education is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement a teaching plan in line with the school’s methodology.
• Present lessons clearly using visual/audio aids to facilitate learning.
• Provide individualized instruction and promote interactive learning.
• Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments).
• Assess and record students’ progress and provide feedback.
• Maintain a tidy and orderly classroom.
• Collaborate in regular meetings with teachers, parents, and the director.
