Greater Somerset County YMCA in Somerset County, New Jersey is looking for a Private Swim Instructor who will serve members through private sessions and build relationships while ensuring a safe instructional environment.

The role requires a HS diploma or equivalent, current Bloodborne Pathogens certification, and YMCA trainings; it is a part-time position with opportunities for professional development and inclusion within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Bloodborne Pathogens certification required.
• SH YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Training within 30 days of hire.
• SH YMCA New Staff Orientation Training within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develops swim programs/lessons tailored to members’ goals and abilities.
• Keeps accurate records of planned sessions and payments.
• Engages members in a professional, courteous manner.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness of the aquatics area and equipment.
• Adheres to YMCA values and policies; participates in trainings as required.
