Job summary

InstaSwim LLC connects independent swim instructors with families for private at-home lessons in Portland and nearby towns. Instructors set their own schedule and travel to pools within the chosen radius.

As an independent contractor, you’ll teach 1-on-1 or small groups, plan lessons by age and ability, track progress, and ensure safety. Offers are paid after each lesson; background checks and CPR/First Aid certification required.

Qualifications

• No minimum experience required; swim teaching experience is a plus and each application is reviewed.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to get certified before teaching).
• Reliable transportation.
• Legally able to work in the US.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Professional, positive attitude with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Teach private (1 on 1) and small group swim lessons at the family's pool.
• Plan each lesson around the swimmer's age, ability and goals.
• Track progress and adjust lessons as swimmers improve.
• Keep every lesson safe and fun.
• Travel to lessons within the distance you choose.
