Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a Private School Cook in Minneapolis, MN. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 7am–3pm, with guaranteed hours and no nights or weekends.

You will prepare meals, follow recipes exactly, and ensure food safety under the guidance of a team of professionals in a K-12 school lunch program. Benefits include daily lunch, uniforms, PPE, training and development, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to do simple arithmetic.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Be able to lift 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling requirements.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of guest service at all times.
• Execute recipes to the letter.
• Prepare meals by measuring portions and temperatures, ensuring they are attractive and safe to eat.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follows and completes production sheets.
• Meet deadlines in completing daily workload.
• Store or discard excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Set up and tear down of workstation.
• Receive and unpack food deliveries.
• Ensure food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Maintain polite and professional communication.
• Understand and utilize FIFO.
• Perform other related duties as requested by leadership.
