Principal Financial Group is seeking an Associate for Private Infrastructure Debt in the New York area. You will support deal evaluation, underwriting, structuring, and portfolio monitoring across energy, renewables, and other sectors.

Build models, analyze metrics, and assist senior team members in investment decisions. The role emphasizes credit analysis, Excel modeling, and market research, with exposure to high-yield and investment-grade transactions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering or a related technical field (min 3.5 GPA).
3+ years’ experience in Infrastructure, Project Finance Loans, and Fixed Income.
Strong Excel-based financial modeling skills and underwriting memos.
Solid understanding of accounting, financial statement analysis, credit analysis, and economics.
Familiarity with financial markets, fixed income strategies, and credit evaluation methods.
Ability to use AI tools to improve workflow efficiency.
