Job summary

Principal Asset Management, a trusted partner in global asset management, is offering a Private Infrastructure Debt Intern program for Summer 2027 in New York City. You will develop deep knowledge of infrastructure private credit across sectors and participate in modeling, research, and reporting activities with a collaborative team.

You should be pursuing a bachelor's degree in a technical field with advanced Excel skills and a strong interest in finance and infrastructure investments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a technical field (finance, accounting, economics, statistics, engineering, data science, business analytics).
• Advanced Excel experience required.
• Demonstrated capability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Ambitious with interest in finance and infrastructure investments.
• Graduation date Spring or Fall 2028.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis and assessment of infrastructure debt investment opportunities.
• Develop and analyze financial models and industry research to support investments.
• Conduct fundamental sector research independently.
• Support market research and financial modeling for the team.
• Assist in preparing investment reports and presentations.
• Monitor and report on performance of existing investments.
• Participate in team meetings and project discussions.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes through automation and data analytics.
