Qualifications

• Experience in golf course maintenance and agronomic program planning.
• Ability to manage a grounds crew and seasonal staff.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, fertilization, aerification and chemical applications.
• Strong record-keeping for chemical applications, maintenance and budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily maintenance and presentation of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, bunkers and surrounding grounds.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive turf-management and agronomic program.
• Schedule and supervise mowing, trimming, fertilization, irrigation, aerification and chemical applications.
• Monitor turf health, soil conditions, pests, diseases and weather conditions, and respond appropriately.
• Operate and maintain golf course maintenance equipment and ensure proper servicing.
• Manage irrigation system and coordinate repairs and seasonal start-up/shut-down procedures.
• Hire, train, schedule and supervise seasonal and part-time grounds staff.
• Maintain records of chemical applications, fertilization, irrigation and equipment maintenance.
• Manage grounds maintenance budget and coordinate equipment and course improvements.
• Communicate course conditions and maintenance needs to club leadership and plan upcoming projects.
