Greycourt & Co., Inc. is an independent, SEC registered investment advisory firm serving ultra-high net worth families and select institutions. Collectively, Greycourt’s clients have entrusted Greycourt with approximately $23 billion of assets under advisement and $5 billion of regulatory assets under management as of December 31, 2024. The position we are seeking to fill will ideally be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA or Portland, OR offices, but location may be flexible.
We are seeking an experienced private equity investor who has a proven ability to lead sourcing, due diligence, and investment monitoring for our clients’ private equity commitments. The Private Equity Manager Research Analyst may also play a role in determining clients’ private equity allocation targets and in educating clients about recommended investments and the broader private equity asset class. The Private Equity Manager Research Analyst will collaborate with Greycourt’s existing private equity professionals and report to Greycourt’s Head of Manager Research. This position is a new chair that is being added to further enhance Greycourt’s service offering and continue to drive Greycourt’s growth.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Sourcing, evaluating, and writing formal recommendations for new private equity commitment opportunities.
• Maintaining Greycourt’s private equity investment forward calendar.
• Evaluating and negotiating private equity investment-related legal documents.
• Acting as a key point of contact for Greycourt’s existing and future private equity general partner relationships.
• Presenting new recommendations, periodic updates, and broader market views both internally and externally.
• Monitoring the performance of existing private equity investments and writing periodic performance reports for clients.
• Acting on advisory boards and processing amendment requests as needed.
• Participating on Greycourt’s Investment Committee, for both private equity and broader investment matters.
• Traveling domestically and sometimes internationally to meet with fund managers, clients, and other industry participants.
• Coordinating with clients, consultants and other Greycourt personnel in obtaining information necessary for them to perform their duties.
The ideal candidate will have an existing network of private equity relationships and will have experience negotiating and leading private equity commitments. This position requires effective communication skills with an emphasis on writing ability. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point is required. A bachelor’s degree is required and postgraduate education or professional certification is preferred.

This Director-level role will have total compensation and benefits commensurate with responsibilities and experience. The position could be Principal or Managing Director-level, with additional job responsibilities, for candidates with a proven history of client advisory work.
