Job summary

Gateway Group Personnel, based in Memphis, Tennessee, seeks an experienced Private Equity / M&A Investment Professional to evaluate acquisitions, build complex financial models, and prepare executive materials. The analyst-to-director level position offers on-site work and exposure to a diversified portfolio with meaningful impact on value creation.

The ideal candidate has buy-side or related investment experience, excellent communication, and a track record of rigorous analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience in buy-side M&A, private equity, or investment banking.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analysis.
• Experience performing financial due diligence.
• Ability to develop investment recommendations from sound analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with ownership and accountability.
• Comfortable in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA/CFA/MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate acquisition opportunities and perform buy-side due diligence.
• Build and refine sophisticated financial models.
• Prepare investment memorandums and executive presentations.
• Support transactions from initial evaluation through closing.
• Analyze financial statements, operating performance, and business risks.
• Partner with senior leadership on investment strategy and portfolio initiatives.
• Assist portfolio companies with financial analysis and corporate finance.
• Conduct industry, market, and competitive research.
• Manage multiple projects independently.
