Job summary

Atlantic Group is seeking an Assistant Controller for Private Equity Fund Accounting & Finance in New York. The role oversees fund accounting, financial reporting, and operations across private investment funds, SPVs, and co-investment vehicles.

There is significant ownership and direct exposure to senior leadership to build scalable financial infrastructure for growth. You will manage quarterly closes, NAV review, investor reporting, audits, tax coordination, and treasury activities,

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally combining public accounting and private investment fund experience.
• Strong background in private equity fund accounting, financial reporting, NAV review, capital activity, and fund administration oversight.
• Experience with limited partnerships, co-investment vehicles, SPVs, management companies, and complex fund structures.
• Strong understanding of management fees, carried interest, distribution waterfalls, partner capital accounts, and fund performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quarterly and annual close processes across private investment funds, SPVs, and the management company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review and approve NAV packages, financial statements, partner capital statements, and investor reporting prepared by third-party fund administrators.
• Oversee fund performance calculations and reporting, including IRR, MOIC, DPI, and other investment performance metrics.
• Lead annual fund audits, coordinate tax reporting and K-1 delivery, and manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Support fund structuring, tax considerations, and regulatory reporting requirements, including Form ADV and Form PF.
• Manage capital activity, including capital calls, investor allocations, distributions, and related notices.
