Job summary

Bertram Capital is a private equity firm seeking Associates to join the investment team within Industrials, Consumer, or Business Services for a Summer 2027 start-date. You will work on a small deal team and gain exposure to the full spectrum of private equity investing, including evaluating platforms and add-ons, opportunity thesis development, and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• Investment banking experience or similar in a collegial environment.
• Undergraduate degree with strong GPA/ACT-SAT as applicable.
• Fluency with financial statements, modeling and capital structure.
• Ability to handle multiple work streams in an entrepreneurial setting.
• Interest in portfolio company strategy and operations.
• Strong analytical skills, strategic insight, industry perspective and curiosity.
• Self-starter with excellent oral communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new platform investments and add-on acquisitions.
• Develop investment theses and manage portfolio investments.
• Support deal execution and portfolio management across opportunities.
• Collaborate with Principals and Partners on transaction execution.
