StepStone Group is seeking an Associate/Senior Associate in San Diego, CA to engage broadly across private equity, focusing on co-investments and primary fund investments. You will take ownership of sourcing, screening, due diligence, underwriting and portfolio monitoring, driving workstreams and presenting independent investment perspectives to senior team members and the Investment Committee.

Qualifikationen

• 2-4+ years of private equity experience, preferably including co-investments and/or primary fund investing, or other relevant investment experience.
• Demonstrated experience evaluating private equity investments with transaction execution and track-record analysis preferred.
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills with the ability to assess valuation, returns and sensitivities.

Aufgaben

• Take ownership of key workstreams across sourcing, screening, due diligence, underwriting and execution of private equity co-investments and primary fund opportunities.
• Evaluate and analyze buyout co-investment transactions across industries and geographies, as well as primary fund opportunities across managers and regions.
• Assess private equity managers and funds, including team capabilities, strategy, track record, portfolio construction, market positioning, and terms.
• Lead and coordinate elements of the due diligence process with fund managers, management teams, and advisors to move opportunities toward a decision.
• Develop financial and investment analyses, including valuation, LBO and cash flow analyses, and evaluate assumptions and risk-reward.
