ConnectMe Capital’s client is a high-performing, close-knit Private Equity / Special Situations investment firm seeking an Accounting/Finance professional with a strong work ethic, private fund knowledge, and the drive to figure things out when there’s no playbook.

What you’ll do:

• Own firm-level accounting and streamline core processes
• Vet fund admin work — NAVs, reconciliations, allocations
• Manage cash, prepare financials, and handle investor inquiries
• Tackle fund issues as they arise — dig in, troubleshoot, resolve
• Support everything but deals — including deal governance, compliance, and ad hoc projects
• 3–8 years’ experience in private funds (private equity, private credit, or real estate private equity)
• Hedge fund-only experience is not a fit
• Solid understanding of fund structures (SPVs, feeders, etc.)
• Experience closing the books / preparing financials
• Effective communicator — confident working with CFOs and execs
• Ability to figure things out when there’s no precedent
• QuickBooks experience is a plus
• CPA, public accounting, or forensic accounting experience is also a plus
• Willingness to travel and work hybrid in NYC
