Job summary

PPM America, Inc. seeks a Private Equity Accountant II to perform complex accounting, financial analysis, reporting, and controls support for funds.

The role requires independent judgment, ability to mentor junior staff, and process improvements to strengthen internal controls and efficiency.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance and 3–5 years in accounting, with GAAP/IFRS knowledge and PE industry experience, based in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and analyzes financial statements and related reports.
• Conducts account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Assists with forecasting and cost analysis.
• Assists with maintaining fund credit facilities.
• Manages inflow of information from fund investments (capital calls, distributions, capital statements).
• Calculates management fees.
• Ensures compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
• Prepares month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports.
• Supports audits with necessary documentation.
• Develops and implements process improvements for efficiency.
• Mentors junior accountants as needed.
