Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking skilled nurses to provide Ventilator and Trach care for an ALS patient in the Pueblo West area (81007). Night and day continuous care are requested.

Candidates should have vent/trach experience and hold an active Colorado RN or LPN license, with current BLS, TB screening or x-ray, and a valid state ID. In-home care offers competitive pay, benefits, and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing License (RN/LPN) for the state in which the nurse practices.
• One-year prior RN/LPN experience preferred but not required.
• TB screening and/or x-ray required.
• Current BLS card.
• Valid Colorado State ID and valid Social Security Card.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for clients receiving contracted services.
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests revisions as needed.
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes in response to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and identifies education and discharge planning needs.

Job description

Maxim Healthcare has an ALS patient in need of skilled nursing support for Vent and Trach. Previous vent and trach experience preferred. This patient lives within the Pueblo West area (zip 81007), and requests continuous care day and night.

Pay Range

$50-$70 / per hour

Night shift differential

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable
• Other Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) duties as assigned.
