First Day Homecare, LLC is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide skilled nursing care in clients' homes in Brighton, MI. The nurse will follow orders from medical practitioners and work within the client’s care plan, delivering personal care, monitoring, and appropriate treatments.

Responsibilities include documenting changes, collaborating with the care team, ensuring safety, and complying with policies and standards.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license to practice as an LPN in the state of operation.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state and/or Agency requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Provides professional nursing care as defined in the state Nurse Practice Act.
• Provides care in accordance with medical practitioner orders and the client’s care plan.
• Maintains orders for clients and documents all changes in orders in the medical record following Agency procedures.
• The scope of clinical practice includes personal care services, monitoring and reporting findings, medication administration, client teaching, emergency intervention, and specialized pediatric services such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings.
• Works collaboratively with other members of the client’s care team.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
• Performs job in compliance with Agency policies, procedures, and applicable payor and accreditation standards.
• Participates in the coordination of care and attends Agency meetings as requested.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Schedule / Expected Work Hours

• Teenaged client in Brighton, MI needing days and nights nurses. 7a-7p, 7p-7a (Hours are flexible)

Job Summary

Performs skilled nursing functions in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and within the guidelines of professional standards and the Nurse Practice Act. All nursing services provided will be under the direction of medical practitioner (MD, DO, NP, PA, etc.) orders.
