Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a patient in their home in the Scranton, PA area. This role offers flexible scheduling and competitive pay within a private duty nursing setting.

The ideal candidate will hold a PA LPN license, current CPR certification, and the ability to work independently in a home care environment, coordinating with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Pennsylvania LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with physician's orders and plan of care.
• Monitor and assess patient health status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Measure and document vital signs and patient progress.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Educate patients and family members regarding care and health management.
• Ensure patient safety and infection control standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the healthcare team to provide quality care.
