Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one in-home skilled nursing care for a patient in the Scranton, PA area. This role offers a home setting and the opportunity to build strong patient and family relationships while delivering personalized care.

Ideal candidates hold an active PA LPN license, CPR certification, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania LPN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a home setting.
• Experience in private duty, home health, or pediatric nursing preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care per physician orders and plan of care.
• Monitor and assess patient health status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Document vital signs and patient progress accurately.
• Report changes to the clinical team promptly.
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards.
• Educate patients and families on care and health management.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the healthcare team.
