Job summary

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency dedicated to companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults live safely and independently at home in Temple and surrounding areas. We are hiring a Private Duty/Home Care Aide with weekday and weekend availability, flexible shift lengths, and the ability to schedule 20+ hours per week.

You must have reliable transportation, be over 18, and pass a criminal history check.

Qualifications

• Must have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Be over 18 years old.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History check.
• Reliable transportation of your own that you will be driving.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.).
• Medication reminders and monitoring/safety supervision.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Ambulation/mobility support and transportation to appointments.
• Provide supportive companionship and responds quickly in emergencies.

Private Duty/Home Care Aide

Visiting Angels Temple is a leading non-medical, private duty home care agency providing companionship, safety supervision and personal care to help adults continue to live safely with dignity and independently in their homes.

We are looking for a Private Duty/Home Care Aide who has availability on weekdays AND weekends. Private Duty/Home Care Aide shifts can be any length of time between 1 hour to 12 hours- day OR night! We coordinate with your availability and our clients' needs to build your perfect schedule! Our goal is to schedule you for a MINIMUM of 20 hours/week, which means you can pick up AS MANY clients as you'd like!!! Our clients reside in Temple and surrounding areas (Copperas Cove, Killeen, Lampasas, Belton, Cameron, Rockdale, and MORE) therefore, a Private Duty/Home Care Aide MUST have reliable transportation of your own that you will drive to and from each client and be willing to travel outside of Temple. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply!

Private Duty/Home Care Aide job duties include but are not limited to:

• Hygiene and grooming assistance (bathing, dressing, incontinence care, etc.)
• Medication reminders
• Monitoring/safety supervision
• Meal preparation

• Laundry, errands and shopping
• Ambulation/mobility assistance, including lifting 50lbs and above
• Supportive companionship
• Respond quickly in case of an emergency
• Transportation to and from appointments

Private Duty/Home Care Aide Requirements:

• Ability to take direction, follow rules and be proactive
• Good time management skills
• High integrity and strong ethics
• MUST have over 1 year of hands-on caregiving experience with the elderly
