Job summary

Empath Health's Empath Personal Care is seeking dedicated Home Health Aides to provide compassionate in-home care across Port Charlotte, Venice, and North Port. The role offers PRN scheduling, competitive weekly pay, and a mission-driven environment focused on Full Life Care for All.

Requirements include an HHA certificate (40+ hours) or CNA, CPR certification, and at least six months in healthcare or home health.

Qualifications

• HHA Certificate (40+ hours) or CNA license preferred.
• CPR certification (in-house classes available if needed).
• Minimum of six (6) months of healthcare or home health experience preferred — free training available for new caregivers.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with daily living activities in patients’ homes.
• Support clients’ comfort, dignity, and independence through individualized care.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated service.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to clinical staff.
• Travel within the assigned service area to deliver care as scheduled.
