Job summary
Interim HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for private duty in Topeka, KS. You’ll care for seniors at home, assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals and document changes, and work with a team of nurses to follow each patient’s plan.
The role promotes work-life balance and independence. Eligible CNAs receive online training, CEUs, and tuition discounts through Rasmussen University, plus benefits like dental, vision, PTO, and 401K.
Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Kansas
- CPR certification is required
- Valid Kansas driver’s license or Kansas State ID, auto insurance and transportation
- Compassionate, good communicator with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Care for seniors in their homes with illnesses or injuries
- Assist with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, eating and nutrition
- Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion
- Check vitals, monitor intake/output and document changes
- Collaborate with home health nurses and aides to follow care plans
- Observe patient and notify supervisor of changes in care or equipment
