Interim HealthCare of Topeka is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Private Duty in Topeka, Kansas. You’ll care for seniors at home, assist with daily activities, monitor health, and support a patient‑centered care plan with a team of nurses and aides.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Kansas.
• CPR certification required.

• Compassionate nature and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Care for seniors and those with illness in clients’ homes.
• Assist with daily activities: bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, nutrition.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion; monitor vitals when needed.
• Collaborate with home health nurses and aides to follow care plans.
• Observe patients and notify supervisor of changes in care or equipment.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant with Private Duty, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Care for seniors and those with an illness, injury or chronic disease in their homes
• Help with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail/skin care, eating and nutritional intake
• Assist with ambulation, transfers and range of motion exercisesCheck vitals, measure intake/output, monitor blood glucose and document any changes
• Work with a team of home health nurses and aides to ensure a patient’s care plan is followed
• Observe patient and notify supervisor of issues requiring a change in care, medication or medical equipment

A few must-haves for our Certified Nursing Assistants with Private Duty:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Nursing Assistant Certification in Kansas
• CPR certification
• Valid Kansas driver’s license or Kansas State ID, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
