Homestead Health Care in Washington Twp, MI is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to support residents with daily living activities and provide companionship. The role requires passing medications, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

This part-time position offers hourly pay with room for growth. Applicants must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Every other weekend is required.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver’s license or ID.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Passing medications following physicians orders.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents in Washington twp, MI.

The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Experience passing medications is a requirement, you must be comfortable working alone.

Schedule

This is a part-time position. Caregivers will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend is a requirement.

Pay

Hourly starting pay is $16.00 per hour with room for growth.
