Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Macomb, MI is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist residents with daily living activities and provide companionship. The role requires passing medications and ability to work alone as needed.

The position is part-time with 8-hour shifts; every other weekend is required. Benefits include room for growth, daily pay, paid orientation and training, and medical/dental/vision after 30 hours.

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents in Macomb, MI.

The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Experience passing medications is a requirement, you must be comfortable working alone.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Passing medications following physicians orders.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position. Caregivers will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend is a requirement.

Pay:

Hourly starting pay is $16.00 per hour with room for growth.
