Job summary

Menchey School of Music in Westminster, MD is seeking an enthusiastic drumset instructor to join our busy studio. You will teach private drum lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels, foster a positive, educational atmosphere, and help students grow musically while preparing for recitals.

This part-time role offers one weekday evening block from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM or a 4-hour Saturday block, with strong administrative support, marketing flow, and a collaborative, education-focused

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of college-level music training or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with students of all ages and skill levels.
• Able to complete background checks.

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic and dependable drumset instructor to join our team at our Westminster studio. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong student relationships, creating engaging lessons, and being part of a music-centered community that truly values education.

Availability Needed

One weeknight from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM or one recurring 4-hour block on Saturdays.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combination
• A bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or a related field is preferred; candidates currently working toward a degree are also encouraged to apply
• Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred
• Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment
