Job summary

Menchey School of Music in Westminster, MD, seeks a passionate drum teacher to deliver engaging private lessons to students of all ages. You will create a positive learning environment and help students grow musically, preparing them for recitals and performances.

You will also communicate professionally with families and staff, keep attendance records in our digital scheduling system, and demonstrate reliability and enthusiasm every day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music education, performance, or related field preferred; candidates working toward a degree are encouraged to apply.
• 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or equivalent combination is required.
• Experience with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred.
• Ability to complete an initial and recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment.

The Menchey School of Music, part of Menchey Music Service, is home to a thriving private lesson program that serves students throughout the region. As the area’s largest family-owned music retailer, we’re proud to offer high-quality music instruction in a welcoming, organized, and supportive studio environment.

Availability Needed:

One weeknight from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM or one recurring 4-hour block on Saturdays

Requirements

• Experience working with a variety of learners of all ages and skill levels is preferred
• Ability to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employment
