In the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Special Events Manager to join our Marketing team and lead the execution of strategic brand and community events.
This role will report to the VP of Communications and work cross-functionally to ensure events are delivered seamlessly and effectively promote our mission and presence.
Event Execution: Oversee the execution of the existing events strategy, ensuring seamless execution.
Marketing Coordination: Build and manage a detailed timeline for event marketing plans, including coordination with marketing, alumni, CRM, and other internal teams.
Event Design Management: Collaborate with the design team to request and deliver necessary creative assets.
Student Communication: Coordinate with both our alumni and current students for event participation, speaking opportunities and promotion.
Internal Communication: Serve as the central communicator across departments to align all event logistics and expectations.
Content & Social Media Collaboration: Partner with the social media team to support event promotion and content production.
Vendor & Venue Sourcing: Identify venues and vendors as needed and submit recommendations for approval.
Logistics Oversight: Manage shipments and deliveries, including both physical coordination and asynchronous coordination with legal and finance teams to ensure smooth event operations.
On-site Event Management: Travel to and manage on-site events, including set-up and breakdown, as needed. Work closely to delegate tasks for event execution both prior to and during the event.
Post-event Analysis: Lead post-event debriefs and provide actionable feedback to improve future events.
External Promotion: Seek and establish partnerships with local media or blogs to amplify event reach.
