Job summary

PGIM, the global asset management arm of Prudential, seeks an Investment Analyst in Chicago to support underwriting, due diligence, and portfolio oversight across private credit investments. The role offers exposure to senior leadership and a pathway into buy-side private credit investing.

You will develop financial models, assess risk, and contribute to investment committee materials while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setup three days on-site weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong academic track record.
• 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, direct lending, or mezzanine investing.
• Recent graduates with relevant internships will be considered.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively in a team, and meet deadlines.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and credit fundamentals.
• Excellent analytical, writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive underwriting and financial modeling, including credit analysis and company research.
• Prepare investment committee materials and support presentations for senior leadership.
• Coordinate transaction execution with internal and external stakeholders and manage diligence materials.
• Monitor an active portfolio of private credit investments and track key credit metrics.
• Assist with quarterly valuations, portfolio reviews, and ongoing portfolio management.
• Support fund and investor activities, including portfolio updates and marketing content.
