Selby Jennings is seeking a Private Credit FIG VP/SVP - Originations/Relationship Manager in New York, NY. The role focuses on sourcing and executing capital solutions with banks, fintech lenders, and other institutional partners in a highly external-facing capacity.

The candidate will build senior relationships, originate transactions across consumer, residential, commercial, and specialty finance sectors, and work with investment teams to structure deals through closing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in private credit, structured finance, or related sectors.
• Track record originating and closing transactions with financial institutions.
• Deep knowledge of consumer credit, mortgage, structured products and credit markets.
• Experience with banks, specialty finance, fintechs or other institutional counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Build senior-level relationships with banks, credit unions, and non-bank lenders.
• Source, originate, and execute investment opportunities across sectors.
• Develop customized financing solutions addressing client balance sheet needs.
• Drive new business development through market coverage and relationships.
• Collaborate with investment teams and leadership to structure transactions.
• Manage opportunities from sourcing through due diligence, negotiation, and closing.
• Maintain an active pipeline of transactions and partnerships.
• Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings.
• Provide market intelligence and sector insights to stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations for executive audiences and coordinate cross-functional teams.
