Selby Jennings in New York is seeking an Analyst or Associate for its Private Credit team. You will evaluate and underwrite investment opportunities, build financial models, and conduct due diligence across sponsor-backed and non-sponsored transactions.

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, Restructuring, Financial Sponsors, Corporate Banking, or related field.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and work ethic.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and underwrite private credit investment opportunities.
Build and analyze financial models, cash flow forecasts, and capital structure analyses.
Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including company, industry, and management assessments.
Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal approval processes.
Support transaction execution and deal structuring efforts.
Monitor portfolio company performance and identify additional financing opportunities.
Work closely with senior investment professionals throughout the investment lifecycle.
