Job summary

Missouri Athletic Club in Clayton is seeking a full-time Cook 1 to join our Clayton Clubhouse culinary team. Independently manage an assigned station, prepare menu items to recipes and plating standards, and support banquet production.

This role requires 2-4 years of professional kitchen experience, knife skills, ability to work under pressure, and adherence to food safety standards. High-end club/restaurant experience preferred; you will train junior kitchen staff and collaborate with the Sous

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional kitchen experience.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Ability to independently manage a station in a fast-paced environment.
• High-end restaurant, hotel, or private club experience preferred.
• Reliable, consistent, and able to work well under pressure.
• Food safety certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned station with consistency and efficiency.
• Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes, plating standards, and Club expectations.
• Complete daily prep and maintain proper labeling, storage, rotation, and freshness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Communicate product needs, shortages, and equipment concerns to the Sous Chef.
• Assist with banquet production and help train junior kitchen staff as needed.
• Follow food safety standards and support overall kitchen operations.
