Job summary

Busey is seeking a Director of Private Client Strategy to lead strategic direction, growth, and performance for the Private Client division. This role focuses on delivering a differentiated, client-centric experience for high-net-worth clients while driving deposit growth and wealth relationships across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with executive leadership, market leaders, and product partners to ensure integrated, high-touch solutions and disciplined execution of sales and service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or CFP) preferred.
• 12–15+ years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or financial advisory services.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the strategic direction for Private Banking across the bank’s footprint.
• Drive deposits and wealth assets under management through high‑touch solutions.
• Champion a holistic, goals‑based advisory approach integrating banking, investment, and financial planning.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and client‑centricity across Private Client teams.
• Partner with Wealth Management, Commercial Banking, Mortgage, Trust, and Consumer Banking to deliver integrated solutions.
• Align Private Client strategy with enterprise initiatives in marketing, digital, operations, and risk management.
• Influence product development and service delivery to meet the evolving needs of affluent clients.
• Oversee relationship management practices and portfolio performance tracking.
