Job summary

Douglas Scott Ltd seeks an experienced Private Client Solicitor in Winchester. Join a Top 200 UK law firm’s regional team to manage private client matters with autonomy, while receiving strong Partner backing and a collaborative culture.

You’ll handle wills, trust creation, probate and tax planning for a loyal client base, contributing to the firm’s growth and reputation in the South.

Qualifications

• Five years’ PQE in private client law or equivalent
• Strong client-service ethos with a focus on quality outcomes
• Ability to manage matters autonomously while collaborating with a partner

Responsibilities

• Advise a broad range of private clients, families and business owners
• Handle wills, succession planning and estate/tax planning
• Create and administer trusts and probate proceedings
• Oversee Lasting Powers of Attorney and inheritance tax planning
• Advise on wealth protection for high-net-worth individuals
• Develop and grow your own client relationships with partner backing
• Act as a visible, influential contributor within a growing regional office

The Role :

You’ll advise a broad range of individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners across all aspects of Private Client law, including:

• Wills and succession planning


• Estate and tax planning


• Trust creation and administration


• Probate and estate administration


• Lasting Powers of Attorney


• Inheritance Tax planning


• Advising high-net-worth individuals and families

About You :

You’ll be an experienced Private Client Solicitor, Legal Executive or Lawyer with at least five years’ PQE and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
