Our highly regarded Private Wealth practice advises high net worth individuals, families, trustees and business owners on a broad range of succession and wealth planning matters. We work with a diverse client base including entrepreneurs, family business owners, trustees and international families, providing tailored advice on wills and succession planning, trusts, estate administration, tax planning and wider wealth preservation strategies.

In this role, you will work closely with experienced members of the Trusts and Estates team, gaining exposure to a broad range of high-quality private wealth matters within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will advise on wills and succession planning, trusts, estate administration, tax planning and wealth preservation strategies, while developing strong client relationships and enjoying direct client contact from an early stage.

You will have the opportunity to work on complex and rewarding matters for high net worth individuals, families and trustees, including estate and succession planning, trust structures, the administration of estates, and supporting clients with their long-term wealth and tax planning objectives. From the outset, you will benefit from a varied and stimulating workload, significant responsibility and the opportunity to develop your expertise across a wide range of private wealth matters.

Working as part of Ashfords' wider national Trusts and Estates practice, you will collaborate with colleagues across our offices and have access to a breadth of expertise, resources and specialist knowledge. The team is known for its collegiate approach, technical excellence and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking and supportive environment, where you will play a key role in delivering high-quality advice to a sophisticated client base while continuing to develop your career. You will benefit from excellent mentoring, exposure to high-quality work and a genuine platform to build your profile within one of the South West's leading Private Wealth teams.

Who you are

Having trained and qualified (or be approaching qualification) with a well-regarded law firm, you will have gained experience across a range of non-contentious private client work.

You will be a confident communicator with strong technical and analytical skills, capable of managing your time effectively to meet client expectations and deadlines. With a pragmatic and commercially minded approach, you will be keen to take ownership of matters (with appropriate supervision) and provide clear, concise advice aligned to clients’ objectives.

You will enjoy building trusted relationships with clients and will ideally have experience advising high net worth individuals, families, trustees, business owners and other private clients on a range of succession, tax and wealth planning matters. As a confident and personable communicator, you will be comfortable managing client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
