Job summary

SmartBank is seeking a Private Client Specialist in the Birmingham area to support Private Bankers, handle client banking requests, and ensure smooth account servicing. The role blends client service with operations and administrative tasks to deliver exceptional experiences for high-net-worth clients.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in banking or related fields, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Two+ years of banking, lending, client service, or related experience.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Working knowledge of banking products, services, and lending processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary support resource for Private Bankers and their clients.
• Assist clients with banking requests, product support, and account servicing needs.
• Act as a point of contact for clients when their Private Banker is unavailable.
• Assist with loan application processing, renewals, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with retail and operational teams for account openings and maintenance.
• Review loan and deposit documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support Treasury Management, eBanking, and other service requests.
• Assist clients with online and mobile banking platforms.
• Monitor portfolio activity, reporting, and credit monitoring support.
• Maintain department records, invoicing, and team resources.
• Participate in community outreach and networking to support growth.
