Position Description

The Private Asset Management Analyst will play a critical and central role in supporting the smooth operation of the closing activities for the US Special Situations Desk with respect to our Alternatives Business Management.

Responsibilities

1. Liaison with PM and all relevant support groups (Legal/Ops/Finance/Tax/Risk/Compliance/TAs) to ensure all internal policies and processes have been completed prior to close.
2. Coordinate with Trade Assistants and Trade Compliance to ensure smooth trade flow process.
3. Process prospective data tapes for loan portfolios offered for sale to the SSG Desk.
4. Assist PMs with Desk’s deal pipeline management – including deal setup in DealCloud, monitoring and updating settlement information, coordinating with Alts Operations and Alts Finance on timing for liquidity purposes, as well as verifying pipeline info is properly flowing through to downstream reporting and work-streams.
5. Deal Tagging updates – coordinate with Trade Assistants and Alts Finance on appropriate tagging in the Fund Custodian and Risk systems.
6. Assist Desk PMs in review of quarterly Origination and Asset Management reporting.
7. Responding to ad-hoc requests from Portfolio Management and other groups, as necessary.

Position Requirements

1. 1-3 years of experience; strong, relevant internship experience acceptable.
2. Fixed Income technical skills and experience in a buy or sell side trade room preferred.
3. Corporate and/or consumer loan closing experience a plus.
4. Compliance related experience and/or legal background a plus.
5. Strong relationship skills and proven ability to build strong relationships with Portfolio Managers.
6. Well-refined communications skills. Can articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
7. Outstanding analytical skills. Proven ability to operate efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

Compensation

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance. Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00.
