Job summary

Thrive Education Partners seeks an experienced Private Physics and Upper Level Math Tutor to support high school students in Williamson County, Tennessee. This role emphasizes one-on-one instruction for Honors and AP coursework, not just completing assignments, with emphasis on conceptual understanding and problem-solving.

You’ll build strong rapport with students, adapt to learning styles, and communicate progress with families.

Qualifications

Must have deep expertise in advanced mathematics and/or physics.
Ability to teach upper‑level high school content including Honors and AP.
Experience working with high school students in rigorous coursework.
Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly and diagnose gaps in understanding.
Ability to provide in‑person tutoring in Williamson County on a consistent schedule.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized tutoring in upper-level high school math and physics, including Honors and AP courses.
Support coursework such as Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics, Physics, and AP-level math/physics.
Break down challenging concepts and multi-step problems for clarity.
Identify gaps in prerequisite knowledge and adapt instruction accordingly.
Communicate regularly with families about progress and priorities.
