Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking a skilled privacy professional to analyze, draft, and negotiate a range of agreements. The role supports the Privacy Office in ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other federal/state privacy laws, while leading privacy initiatives across the organization.

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, serve as the privacy SME in negotiations with customers and vendors, and contribute to enterprise privacy strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Business or Law with 4+ years in healthcare or 8+ years in healthcare.
• Knowledge of federal and state privacy laws and HIPAA.
• Ability to lead departmental projects and present to leadership.
• Juris Doctor or privacy/compliance certifications preferred (CHP/CHC/CHPC/CIPP).
• Experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
• Independent work capability; strong verbal/written skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, draft, and negotiate various agreements for the HCSC Privacy Office.
• Support and drive key privacy initiatives and projects; assess privacy laws and impacts on operations.
• Collaborate with Privacy Office and stakeholders to resolve moderately complex privacy matters.
• Serve as privacy subject matter expert during negotiations with customers, vendors, and third parties.
