Job summary

Coinbase's Privacy team is hiring a Privacy Analyst to own the Privacy Incident Management function, reporting to the Head of Privacy. You will partner across Privacy, Security, Product, Engineering, and Communications to triage incidents involving personal data, drive privacy analysis, and coordinate remediation in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in privacy/security/incident response with cross-functional coordination.
• Strong incident management and written analyses for exec summaries.
• Experience leading cloud-native investigations; hands-on SQL, Python, and data tools (Postgres, MongoDB, Airflow, Looker, Snowflake).
• Experience building automation to reduce manual tasks and speed incident response.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, ePrivacy, DPIAs/PIAs, ROPA, and data subject rights.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Privacy Incident Management, incl. workflows, escalation, docs, responder enablement, automation opportunities.
• Lead privacy incident response as DRI/Incident Commander with cross-functional coordination.
• Maintain on-call readiness for triage, severity classification, and escalations.
• Drive retrospectives, track remediation items and control gaps; deliver incident metrics.
• Build cross-functional, cross-geography stakeholder relationships.
• Support broader privacy initiatives, tooling and automation.
