Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Global Intelligence Analyst to help protect customers and the crypto ecosystem by interfacing with law enforcement, investigating illicit activity, and ensuring compliance through blockchain analysis.

You will evaluate legal information requests, conduct on-chain investigations using Chainalysis, TRM Labs, and Elliptic, and serve as the team's primary contact for law enforcement requests from Brazil and Latin America.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience interacting with law enforcement in crypto/fintech or investigations.
• Proven investigative ability to detect illicit activity and build cases.
• Experience with blockchain analysis using TRM Labs, Chainalysis or Elliptic.
• Portuguese language proficiency for Brazil/LatAm liaison.
• Ability to document findings in clear, accurate reports.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for law enforcement inquiries, including Brazil liaison.
• Evaluate, process and fulfill legal information requests (e.g., subpoenas).
• Conduct blockchain analysis to trace illicit funds and typologies.
• Pursue investigations with guidance from senior investigators and escalate as needed.
• Stay current on laws, policies, and financial crime typologies in crypto.
