Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Privacy Analyst to own the Privacy Incident Management function and coordinate across Privacy, Security, Product, Engineering, and Communications. You will triage incidents involving personal data, drive privacy analysis, and implement durable process improvements in a fast-moving environment.

This role requires 3+ years in privacy/security incident workflows, strong analytic skills in SQL/Python, and a track record of automating routine tasks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in privacy, security, incident response, or risk operations with cross-functional coordination.
• Proven incident management and ability to communicate risk clearly.
• Experience leading investigations in cloud-native environments with SQL and Python.
• Experience building automation to reduce manual tasks in incident response.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Privacy Incident Management program, including workflows and automation.
• Lead privacy incident response as DRI and Incident Commander across teams.
• Maintain on-call readiness for triage, severity classification, and escalations.
• Drive retrospectives, track remediation items, and report trends.
• Build cross-functional and cross-geography stakeholder relationships.
• Support broader privacy initiatives during low-volume periods.
