Job summary

Omnicell in Oregon is seeking a Counsel II specialized in Privacy, Data Governance & AI Governance. You will partner with Privacy, Product, Engineering, Marketing, HR, and Sales to mature our privacy and data governance programs and provide pragmatic legal guidance across technology and business initiatives.

You will lead privacy-related transactions, scale the program, and translate evolving regulatory requirements into practical governance frameworks, supporting growth while managing risk.

Qualifications

• J.D. and active membership in good standing of a U.S. state bar.
• CIPP/US or CIPP/E (both preferred).
• 5+ years advising on data privacy at a law firm or in-house.
• Cross-functional collaboration with IT, security, engineering, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, business-oriented contract support to sales, procurement, and business teams while identifying opportunities to standardize positions and accelerate deal velocity through reusable playbooks and guidance
• Lead counsel for privacy-related commercial transactions, including DPAs, BAAs, security exhibits and other privacy/tech terms
• Scale the privacy program
• Partner across Product, Engineering, Marketing, HR, Sales, Security, and Legal to embed privacy practices into technology and operations
• Translate emerging privacy, cybersecurity, and AI requirements into governance frameworks and operating processes
• Lead high-impact work spanning privacy-by-design, cybersecurity incident response, regulatory compliance, vendor risk, and data strategy
• Develop tools, templates, guidance, and operating models to scale privacy and governance
